Even as Vijay's 'Vettaikkaran' is getting delayed, the shooting of his much-awaited 50th film (titled 'Suraa') has started. Tamannaah has been paired opposite Vijay for the first time in this film, directed by S.P. Rajkumar, who directed the RK-starrer 'Azhagar Malai'. The film's crew, which had been camping in the backwaters of Kerala for the past month or so, has now arrived in Marakkanam to continue the second schedule of shooting. Vijay plays a fisherman in the film, a role he hasn't yet played in his 15-years of stay in the industry. The film is produced by producer-turned-actor Sangili Murugan, who gave Vijay one of his earlier hits in 'Kadhalukku Mariyadhai'. Murugan has reportedly hinted to his director that budget won't be a constraint if he wanted lavish sets and expensive shooting schedules.
